Vice President of Marketing
Reports to Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer
Our client, a leading e-commerce apparel company is looking for a VP of Marketing for their Bay Area office.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for building teams and processes, is an expert in performance-driven marketing, and is excited to lead a best-in-class marketing team and in turn, drive the growth of the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead our marketing strategy to drive significant growth in top and bottom-line performance through expansion into new marketing channels and improvement of our existing marketing efforts
- Develop marketing strategies to drive brand awareness
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Operations, and Finance to inform marketing strategy
- Analyze and report on the performance of all marketing efforts to senior leadership
- Ensure marketing strategies are communicated cross-functionally and come through across all customer touchpoints
- Help build the digital e-commerce strategy to increase traffic, engagement, and conversion
- Drive digital presence strategy across all social media channels
- Analyze all customer segments for opportunities to optimize
- Maintain excellent understanding of target consumer profile, advise on tone of voice and visual language
- Enrich the overall direct-to-consumer (DTC)/e-commerce customer experience
- Own and manage the entire marketing calendar
- Develop and manage marketing budget and monitor ROI on all marketing spend
- Define traffic, customer, sales goals, and KPIs for the Marketing team
- Own the headcount planning for the Marketing team to identify any gaps and opportunities to fill them
- Partner with the CMMO for any retail or event-based marketing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 10 years of marketing experience; 5+ years of ROAS driven marketing experience is a must
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Clear and succinct communication skills, effective for all levels of the organization
- Prior experience leading marketing teams in a high-growth, ecommerce organization; DTC or startup experience is preferred; experience in the fashion industry is a requirement
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of building teams
- The ability to balance customer-centric, bottom-line, and team-oriented marketing strategies
