Director, Converged TV – Agency
Our client, a Performance Marketing Agency is looking for a Director, Converged TV to work remote
Our client is seeking a business unit leader for our Performance Video team – This individual will be responsible for helping to define strategy, drive operational execution and be adept at positioning our Converged TV offering as best in class, both internally and externally.
- Defining the business strategy for our Converged TV monetization solutions across devices (Connected TV, Mobile) based on market opportunity, customer needs, our product capabilities, and competitive differentiation.
- Acting as the subject matter expert for all TV related inquiries and train key stakeholders and team members on how to communicate our positioning in the marketplace.
- Assisting with new business proposal creation and distribution for video strategy
- Proactively ensuring that the media teams are educated on new and innovative Converged TV strategies and that continually inspires teams to raise the bar strategically, creatively and operationally
- Maintaining knowledge of industry trends within the video / programmatic video landscape and representing the company at relevant industry conferences and networking with partners
- Ensuring Converged TV is part of cohesive, integrated media plans for our clients.
- Helping to evolve our measurement philosophy as it pertains to TV and video buying, attribution and Converged TV’s place in the consumer path to purchase.
- Identifying upsell opportunities for our current clients who should be investing more heavily into video
- Determining unique opportunities and establishing deeply integrated partnerships across the TV ecosystem;
- Leading contract negotiations with new TV partnerships
- Developing and facilitating targeted marketing initiatives (e.g. thought leadership pieces, blog postings, panel discussions)
- Meeting with vendors and technologies in the Converged TV(Linear, Addressable, CTV/OTT) space to understand capabilities and new technologies.
- Collaborating on the creation of training materials to ensure media teams are up to speed on best practices and operating consistently across clients
- 6+ years of experience on the brand, agency or consulting side of the digital marketing industry.
- 3+ years of experience running campaigns or driving strategy focused on OTT/CTV
- Linear TV buying experience a plus
- 2+ years of direct supervisory experience in programmatic or related fields
- Deep understanding of the programmatic video/CTV/OTT ecosystem as well as direct experience creating and selling scalable CTV solutions to brands and / or key stakeholders
- Deep understanding of TV and Video Measurement Systems, past, present and future.
- Leadership and initiative to grow a new product offering.
- Partner with Head of Programmatic to set the holistic strategy and growth plans for the client engagement inclusive of existing channels and new opportunities that ladder up to client business objectives
- Advanced understanding of programmatic buying (DSP) and audience segmentation.
- Strong expertise and background in media analytics and/or audience data management platforms
- The ability to manage multi-level teams of outsourced vendors
- Working knowledge of display, video, social and/or DSP partners, and external data or media providers and vendors to create partnerships with to drive our OTT / CTV business forward
- Innate curiosity and passion to learn “what’s next” and an ability to figure out new and different ways to apply evolving media technologies to our current practice
